Hello!
Thank you for taking time to learn more about us. We hope that you are able to get a flavor for who we are as individuals (Mike – spicy, Hannah – southern biscuits), as a couple (heart eyes emoji), and who we hope to be as parents (ever read Matilda? – not that!). In addition to this web listing, catch our latest antics on Instagram: @hannahandmikeadopt.

Thank You
First off, we can’t imagine the emotions you may be experiencing. What we can share is that we’ve faced hardships and tough decisions and real loss and real joy. We know life can be messy and have been thick in it. It’s given us perspective of how everyone’s journey is different and to make the most of where we are at any given point and time. And maybe we can put your mind at ease a little sharing that we’re open to however you may want to interact after adoption, from not-at-all to cheering with us at soccer practices. And that it may change over time.

About Mike
“When you meet Mike, he immediately greets you with a warm smile. He brings joy and excitement to everything he does. If you are lucky, he may have a dad joke or two to share. Upon meeting Mike, you will learn that he has an adventurous spirit and a thirst for knowledge. In his free time Mike loves to conquer the outdoors as well as projects around the house. Family is Mike’s everything and they love him just as much. He is a great role model for his niece and nephew, who adore him.” ~Hannah

Approach to Life
We love experiencing life together and taking that next adventure – big or small. We hope to encourage our future child’s passions and share unique experiences with them so they may find themselves and be their best person.

Throw a dart at a calendar and the day’s activities may include playing tennis, riding bikes, cooking something new, enjoying a concert, hanging out with friends and family, supporting our community, or adulting (yeah, sometimes we need to be responsible too).

As with our approach to life, we view parenting as our next big adventure together. In partnership, we will be a source of encouragement and support for our child and each other. No matter the challenges faced we will be there to guide them as they experience life’s lessons.

Family Matters
We have a big, blended family across the US (and beyond). How we came into each other’s lives is storied and blessed and we make an effort for quality time together. We cherish the memories and traditions made.

We want to carry that philosophy into our relationship with our future adoptive child’s family. We welcome openness and are committed to creating a relationship that is in the best interest of the child. We want them to have an opportunity to know their full selves, providing a sense of belonging and identity.
